Hi, would you consider integration with Miro, formerly RealTime Board? This is a great diagraming app, and has a good Jira integration which I was going to use in a convoluted way by pushing from Jira to Aha to get visibility back in Aha. In reality I plan in Aha, not Jira. Ideally I'd like to be able to attach an Aha feature to a Miro card, which would be the feature's visualization.
Alternatively I'd love to see you guys do more with the current Draw.io integration, such as letting a diagram represent an entire product and auto-link to the features within. But I think you can do that better buy expanding on your current "visualize" feature, which I've discussed here:
Thanks for the idea! Have you tried whiteboards in your Aha! account yet? Whiteboards are included in all Aha! products under your workspace's Knowledge tab.
Whiteboards include world-class drawing capabilities that let you create beautiful diagrams and communicate complex product concepts with ease. Start with a blank canvas or choose a template to get going quickly. Work on your own or collaborate as a team to fuel creative thinking. There are so many ways to use whiteboards that are integrated with your Aha! Roadmaps data:
Embed whiteboards into your record descriptions for more visual definition
Add Aha! records to a whiteboard for flexible planning sessions
Create wireframes to illustrate new concepts
Create diagrams to document user flows, business processes, or system architecture
Use comments, voting, and presentations to align with stakeholders
We just launched Aha! Shapes, so you can plan a roadmap in a whiteboard and convert it to records in Aha! when you're ready!
Contact us at support@aha.io to learn more about whiteboards.
Please continue to share your use cases for a Miro integration in the comments section of this idea!
Integration with Miro would be far more useful than trying to recreate Miro in Aha. A lot of customers are already working extensively in Miro and the Whiteboard functionality does not provide the same capabilities as Miro. If integration is not possible, the next best alternative is to be able to import Miro boards on Aha whiteboard. It is currently not possible.
Ive used the aha whiteboards extensively and I want to love it... but its a headache. The single biggest issue I have is the zoom button that works with the mouse on Mac... in miro on mac you use the "Command" button (hold it and swipe with the mouse to zoom) but in Aha it is the "Option" button... which is a huge headache to relearn and/or use in conjunction with Miro (because i use both).
Why not make the keyboard shortcuts the same? As far as I can tell the Command button doesnt do anything in Aha that would conflict.
Agreed, I tested AHA whiteboard too and it does not provide good feature to draw which is essential for our design team to ideate on customers' ideas.
Aha Whiteboard is very very far from competitive with Miro at this point. Super clunky.
Jira Miro integration is fab, would be great if you re-consider the Miro integration. Considering licence cost to miro, this is more sustainable solution for many companies :)
Dissapointed as I think this would have been a great opportunity to expand your integrations while you focus on more core PM capabilities. Respect your decisions though.
The attached screenshots show one way that Miro helps teams a lot with their integrations to implementation and roadmapping tools. I'd love to see an option to send / pull to and from Aha.
I appreciate that Aha has a storymapping function, which is great for storymapping. But Miro allows us to do much earlier, flare/brainstorm thinking. It would be great to be easily be able to promote those outcomes to ideas and parking lots in Aha. This would be really difficult functionality for Aha to replicate in-product.
I agree with the other feedback in this Idea. Miro is useful for a variety of reasons outside product planning. For example, we do a fair amount of our original ideation for user workflows within Miro. Using a dynamic tool like Miro, rather than a static file as an attachment, would benefit our workflows a lot.
An example of a user workflow is an end-to-end process from user interaction to backend and frontend pieces, identifying where we might have UI/API hooks and where the user might run into error conditions.
The issue is both licensing and functionality. When using Miro for BDD (identifying rules and examples), all scrum team members must have a license - that is not an affordable situation and not the primary use for Aha. The Aha! also creates stories for everything in the story map which also makes is not usable. The point of story mapping is to collaborate to understand the capabilities, priorities, and evaluate for vertical slices and figure out how you want to package a set of features for agile delivery - we may deliver the first 5 stories and then another 6, but then stop and do no more. The functionality creates lots of unnecessary stories (especially when you are not even done). We still wouldn't use it for what Miro is used for - but, would consider using as an initial outline if we could chose which features / stories we wanted to create in Aha.
totally agree with this idea.
This is becoming especially helpful when planning quarters
What I end up doing now
build features in aha
break down in excel with team and estimate stories within features
add stories to aha under features [by the way I wish I could have "estimate" field for a story]
build a report with stories and features for quarter
export as excel
assign estimates to stories
import as a smart container into lucid chart
allocate stories against sprints
If I could push this straight to miro i would not have to go through these steps and instead organize a story map against sprints
The value here would be to visualise the larger pieces of Work: Eg Initative, Master Feature or Feature
I think a simple lightweight one way to visualise data in an object on a miro board is all that is needed....
