Hide the Ship button on the Release Record.

We use the Release record for many purposes other than just standard development activities.  The blue Ship button in the upper right corner does not apply to many of the use cases we have.  We would like the option to remove it when it is not applicable.  The same functionality is achieved by selecting the status of "Shipped" in the status data field (which we convert to say Completed when using for non development activities).

    Thanks for the idea!

    Currently, there is a difference between the Ship button and the Shipped status.

    • The Ship button opens a modal that lists any unfinished work tied to the release. You can then select to move the unfinished work to another release.

    • The Shipped status will leave the unfinished work in the shipped release, and then removing it from your features board for example.

    For this reason, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. However, we will continue to monitor this idea for community feedback, as well as another idea that is requesting these two actions open the same modal. Please feel free to also vote on APP-I-3247 if it aligns with how you work too.
