Custom Fields for Portal User Sign Up

What is the challenge?

• Portal signup collects email, first name, and last name but does not support custom contact fields to capture persona information.

What is the impact?

• We must repeatedly ask persona questions with each idea submission, creating extra effort for users. We also lack this information for users who only vote, limiting our understanding of whose needs an idea represents.

Describe your idea.

• Allow custom fields during portal signup and store responses on the portal user record. This would let us capture persona information once and use it to better understand both idea submitters and voters.

Existing idea A-I-12036 does not meet the need here.
