Change time frames by dragging bars

What is the challenge?

• Making update to sequencing/ timing of items in the roadmap is long and requires many clicks. e.g. moving an initiative earlier requires the following steps:

  • Click item

  • Click start date

  • Work way through calendar view to find new start date.

  • Click end date

  • Work way through calendar to find new end date.

  • Exit item

  • Refresh roadmap

• When you need to re-juggle a whole road map that's a lot!

What is the impact?

• Time consuming to make changes to a roadmap.

Describe your idea.

• You're able to:

  • 1 - drag bars forwards and backwards. Example above becomes 1 click drag.

  • 2 - Drag the start/ end of a bar to change just the start and end date. Easy to update the length of an initiative.
