Deleting content from a note with an inline comment, should unlink the comment, not resolve it

What is the challenge?

• Deleting content from a note with an inline comment currently resolves the comment instead of simply removing its connection to the deleted text.

What is the impact?

• This causes feedback to be hidden by default and can make it look like the comment was addressed when it was not, creating confusion and reducing visibility into unresolved discussion.

Describe your idea.

• When text with an inline comment is deleted, the comment should be unlinked from the deleted text instead of being resolved automatically so it remains open and visible for follow-up.
