Many SaaS providers have a "bot" that sends a notification through multiple means that an issue affecting the service is being addressed and has been addressed. Notifications usually include email, RSS, and direct messages. For our use case, Slack. It is always frustrating to try to use the service and get an error message that there was a failure, but knowing that this failure is due to an outage or a planned maintenance is less frustrating. |
