Ability to create a report to search on name for making updates

Unable to create a report that allows me to search across contacts to then support bulk updates. For example, a set of contacts (and sometimes orgs) are specific roles or parts of specific segments and I want to then create reports that are focused on their activity.

Manually go to Contacts list and input search and then manually update each record to update information on their record

Provide ability to search across the Contact Name - similar to what you have in the contacts list. Or, provide ability to bulk update the Contact list results
