Update an existing Release with information from a Template without impacting progress

Need to update existing releases with language that was refreshed in a Template.

We use 10 different Templates and have about 100 Releases in progress, which makes the copy-paste troublesome.

I want the ability to update an Existing Release (Descriptions in general) without impacting the Release Phase / To-Dos / Feature / Epic progress or assignments. The Descriptions in the Phases and To-Dos, along with the timing logic, should be the only overwritten data from a Template to an existing release.
