Automation Rules for Populating Phases/Milestones from Date Fields (Vice versa)

Smartsheet/Jira integration connectors are not able to map release phases/milestones to date fields in Smartsheet/Jira. We workaround by creating custom date fields to sync with the date fields in those platforms; however, we are not able to display those custom date fields in the Gantt views as phases/milestones do.

• Gantt views are frequently used by our users, but we cannot display the dates we sync from other platform as phases/milestones do.

• Manual update is required to fill up the gap between phases/milestones and the custom date fields, which we sync dates from other platforms.

Option 1

• Allow automation rules to update phases/milestones based on values in custom date fields, and vice versa.

• Automation rules can be triggered by the updates from integration.

Option 2

• Allow custom date range/date fields to display on Gantt views as phases/milestones do is also an alternative option for us. That way we can get rid of the long lasting inconvenience of using phases/milestones module.

• But first we need to have the "date range" custom field available in Aha (to replace phases), and the start/end date of the field should allow integration with date fields of other platform.
