In addition to voting on this I'd like to see this as more broad functionality generally around how to be able to manage idea promotion. As the original requester said, our workflow means we would like to be able to promote (for example) a new epic under an already existing initiative. right now being able to achieve this requires manual effort to either manually link records or create the placeholder record and then promote to existing. this is an inefficient workflow all around.
