When merging ideas, if you know the ID it's much faster, but mergiing ideas only supports the text and doesn't recognise the ID |
What is the impact? |
It's just slower and more long winded to do the search |

The merge ideas search should also include the idea ID value so you can just add that to merge an idea. |

This is currently possible. When searching for an idea to merge, typing in the full reference number, like APP-I-123, will provide the idea in the search results.

Specifically, when you search to merge an idea, even if you know the idea, the search won't return the result; you need to go and find the text of the idea title and put that in the search instead.
