Need a checkbox option as a custom field

Can't create a custom list

Describe your idea

I want to add a custom tab with a custom list that is made up of check/tick boxes, ie yes / no field. Essentially I want to create a checklist that someone has to do for each release. The To Do tab layout isn't practical for this - an alternative might be a compact view? Would also need ability to upload the checklist as a csv or set up templates.
