Bug when creating idea and changing assignee
What is the challenge? |
When I create a new idea, I change the assignee to me. But when the idea is created it ignores that selection and assigns the idea to the default person for that category. |

Thank you Kelly! I think changing the rule will fix it- or at least would fix it, if I can convince our admin to add that condition. It seems like we generally use that rule to help out when people move ideas to different owners although I'm not totally convinced the existing rule is calibrated perfectly on our end for both of these scenarios.
And of course that said its not a bug its performing as expected so apologies for any strays!
Hi Chris! Do you know if the default assignee per category is applied through an automation rule? If so, you can add a condition to that rule so that it is only applied if the assignee field is blank. Let me know if that takes care of it.
