Today, to ensure custom fields on an idea carry over on promotion, this requires a lot of manual set up - creating duplicate custom fields on promoted record layout and ensuring they have the same API key. This requires a pretty high level of knowledge in Aha! to do this right and quickly. |
What is the impact? |
Causes friction when configuring ideas for the first time in Aha! It is not obvious what must be done to get fields to carry over, and once I know what is needed it is tedious to configure. |

Our organization uses a significant number of custom fields which we transfer to initiatives and other records. I would love the ability to more easily visualize existing fields shared or connected via API key across various record types.
I don't use this that often, but I like this idea. It's probably a challenge because I think all custom fields are unique by container (initiative, epic, feature, etc.). However, copying standard data would definitely help. Even copying the description (to at least have a starting point) would be helpful.
