What is the challenge? |
when a Note is defined in the system including Aha! Views this is displayed correctly to users with Aha! named licences (Ideas Advanced) within the application. However if the note is published to a portal, the embedded views are always displayed as links rather than content. These links are always directed to the application itself rather than a specific published web page. This requires the user to be licenced |
What is the impact? |
The publishing of notes to a portal has limited functionality where a view represents data that contains surrounding narrative in the note itself. User experience and adoption of the functionality is impaired |
Describe your idea |
As the view (when embedded as in a Note) is always run with a specific author privilege, this should be displayed in -line with the surrounding narrative of the note as it is in the view of the note itself in the application. As a minimum, if the view (Report) itself is shared as a web page, the link inserted should be the web page link generated by Aha! rather than the internal note reference URL. |
