What is the challenge? |
Current mobile app implementation forces new idea entry to show the view layout and make all fields required. Only specific fields should be required for new idea entry as some are derived after-the-fact. |
What is the impact? |
This makes it very difficult to submit new ideas via the mobile app. My only options are to dumb-down my idea view screen or to not use the mobile app. |
Describe your idea |
Have the mobile app leverage the custom layout design for new ideas, including which fields are required and which are optional. |
Good question. I think the more likely scenario of someone using the Aha mobile app is a power user (or internal to company user), so mimicking the Add Idea form in the main web portal makes sense, but with the required fields exactly how they are configured in the custom layout instead of all fields required. I would think there would be a separate use case for the Ideas portal user and, possibly, a separate app. This second use case is much lower priority.
Thanks for sharing this idea! I have a quick follow-up question to make sure that I understand your use case. Are you asking for the mobile app to show the same "Add idea" form as the portal? Essentially, show the portal form instead of the ideas form displayed inside of Aha!?
