I wanted to touch base and make sure you knew about some existing functionality that may help with this use case:

• Custom worksheets - a special type of custom field that allows you to use custom equations like a spreadsheet

• Capacity planning for teams supports both estimating in costs or capturing a team's hourly cost as part of the team configuration. This latter option makes it possible to report on a team's hourly/point-based estimate into costs.
