When Aha! user promotes an idea to story or feature there is an option to copy categories to tags. |

Thank you for your idea. It is currently possible to pass idea category along to a custom field on features, epics, etc. To set this up, create a new custom field using the "Idea categories" custom field type.
At this time, given the current options, we are unlikely to enable passing category on to the default tags field. We hope you understand and hope that the current solution is helpful for you.
