Ability to add Icons, Shapes or Figures to some records to be shown in Roadmaps

It would be great if in Roadmaps or Pivot reports could represent records fields by Icons, Shapes or Figures.
For example, instead of showing the Status of an Epic or Features, could be represented by a Circle. A custom field (pre-defined values) by a Triangle

I think this could be a great idea also for calculated formula columns. So far I was able to get pivot background coloring in this way (based on criteria, the column returns 0, 1, 2... and I set a background). But this gives only one dimension of highlight. If it would be possible to have icons in a column the same way, this could give great possibilities.
Some additional examples where this would be helpful is to simplify the roadmap view (less words) for things like:
