Unlock Collaboration! Enhance Profiles for Meaningful Connections on the Idea Portal

Hi Ideas Portal Power Users,

Many of us, myself included, have encountered situations where limitations in user profiles on the Idea Portal hinder collaboration and problem-solving. I've personally missed out on connecting with others who share my interest in specific ideas.

For example the PowerBI integration idea has 175 upvotes. Alas the Aha responds is pointing to their API. Now that is their right to prioritize other things, but it would be so beneficial to connect with the other members that have upvoted to develop it together.

All these dots that are shown when I click on the votes button of the idea are potential collaborators that I am missing out on.

Imagine if we could easily find and connect with these fellow users based on shared interests, skills, or location!

The challenge:

• Currently, limited profile information makes it difficult to:

  • Willingness to connect for collaboration (opt-in checkbox).

  • Preference for contact methods (e.g., email, internal messaging).
