Enable preview when changing custom layouts

When changing custom layouts and fields, it would be very useful to be able to see a preview of what the change will look like before saving and impacting multiple workspaces.

Right now to work around this use our playground area when changing existing layouts, but when building a brand new layout I need to apply it to a workspace to be able to see how it will actually appear.
