Please allow me to use 'calculated fields' in non-List report types.
There's a great many times I want to report on derived data of some kind, however right now I can only use calculated fields in "List" reports.
For example, I want to make a pie chart showing initiatives started "Before" or "After" their projected start date, but the data itself exists as a 'date', which would look atrocious graphed.
That is good feedback. Currently you can switch a report between list, pivot, and chart using the dropdown at the top left of the report. Let us know how that works for you!
Hi Kelly - is that the expected UX currently i.e. that users make a report as a 'list' and then convert it to a different type?
I don't think that's a bad idea - it solves another complaint I have about not being able to see the data being fed into a chart - but if so, then I think the UX needs to reinforce that here. I definitely would not have picked that up.
Thank you for reaching out. If you create a calculated field in a list view, you can then use it when you switch the report to a pivot or chart. Our customer success team (support@aha.io) would be happy to help you get your pie chart working.
