Hide or Archive Releases: Filter based on release attributes

As a PM I do not want to see releases on my board that I am not working on or have already been shipped SO THAT my feature board is clean and only shows relevant information.

It is useful to filter based on feature attributes but it will be more helpful to filter releases based on release attributes. Also you should look into the possibility of archiving releases.

We have shipped updates on the Release roadmap screen which allows for better filters on releases. At the top of the list shows active release for each product. Shipped releases are shown as a 2nd section much lower on the dropdown.

Thanks Chris, I'd obviously played around with my categories and forgotten about it so it was as you suggested! Cheers for the quick response.

If you have shipped your releases they should not appear on the Features -> Board. If shipped releases are appearing then perhaps you are using a custom workflow for your releases and it is not configured correctly. Under Settings -> Account -> Configure status you can set the "Status category" for you custom workflow statuses. I have attached a screenshot. For your shipped status you should verify that you have the Status Category set to Shipped.

Agree with Derek - what is mentioned in the Admin response is a good feature, but I don't think it really addresses the real problem that Shravan and Derek described (and the same problem I have). If you are working on the Features Board, then you need a way to hide releases. For example if I have 15 releases on my board, and I've shipped 14 of them, it is a lot of horizontal scrolling to get to the far far right of the board to find my 15th release.

There is a filter on this screen where you can filter by release date (eg. after September 2016), but all this does is hide the features, not the releases.

I have to agree with Shravan, we need as PMs a way on the Feature Board screen to be able to hide releases.  I see what the admin stated for the Release Roadmap, but when I am working in the board (which is where I do the bulk of my work) I have to constantly fight the sidebar overlapping the latest release.
