when idea is promoted to a feature, automatically copy idea's watchers to feature

When an idea is promoted to a feature, it would be convenient if the idea's watchers can automatically become watchers on the feature. This way, when the conversation moves, the original stakeholders or interested parties can follow the conversation without jumping through several links.

Hi All, we at Estee Lauder definitely are voting for this idea. We also have an add-on idea here (FYI): https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/APP-I-2314

I would also add that any watcher - via the idea - should be notified when the new feature is pushed to development. There is currently no tracking or notification attached to a submitted idea and it is especially manually and frustrating.

    From Danny Archer:

To clarify on the request - you are asking about people who actually are Aha! users and have added themselves as a watcher on the idea. Not people who voted/commented on the idea in the ideas portal itself. Correct?

From Richard Yeh: Yes, that’s exactly what I meant.

What you said is an interesting, related idea. On many message boards, if you comment, you can elect to automatically see replies. The analog here would be: establish a per-user policy where if I (as an Aha user) comment or vote on an idea or feature, then I automatically get added to the list of watchers, if eligible. This is not what I meant but would also be a helpful feature.

4 MERGED

1.When an idea is promoted to a feature the watchers are not carried through.

Merged
The watchers on the idea if they exist as Aha reviewers should be carried through. Can’t see the feature number in the idea when an idea is promoted.
