Only send Aha Feature Name to Jira Summary once - while not breaking Integration 2.0

My use case is the following: Product wants to shorten the Aha Feature Names so they look better in Aha's roadmap views.

On the other hand, I don’t want Aha to overwrite my more descriptive Summary on my Jira tickets.

How do I set up the integration?

- When I set the "Sync direction" like this: Name <--1-- Summary I cannot send new features created in Aha to Jira

- When I set the "Sync direction" like this: Name --1--> Summary I cannot import new issues from Jira into Aha…

a) It almost feels to me like the Integration should distinguish the sync direction settings by send vs. import.

b) Or, the integration should always allow the initial sync, regardless of the sync settings for afterwards (i.e. updates)

PS: I was told to use an AH custom field for the short feature name in Aha. Unfortunately,  the Aha feature roadmap view does not seem to allow the replacement of the default Name field with a custom field.
