We use Roll-up/Master releases at the Product line level to gather all sub-releases across all the workspaces within our org and manage/ship them at the same time since we follow a standard release cadence. Prior to or on the release date, the Release manager, will ensure that all the sub-releases, features, and requirements across all the workspaces are done and are in ready to ship status. Only then can the roll-up release be shipped. When the roll-up release is shipped, it would be best if all the sub-releases and their associated features can automatically be in shipped status.
