Removal vs clear value in Idea filter
I use multiple filters to search the Ideas List. I regularly find myself accidentally deleting the filter "widgets" by clicking the X button. I thought I was actually imagining it at first.
What I intend to do is clear the text value that is in the search box (like "calendar" in attached screenshot). I really think that the x icon you are using is pretty well established as "clear value" in other tools in my life. Needs UI improvement.
I agree that the above is a UX issue - it shouldn't be so easy to remove filters accidentally.
Additionally, I would love to see clear indication of when I have filters selected, and an easy way to "Clear All" filters. I and my colleagues regularly look at our reports and get confounded by why we're not seeing certain data only to eventually realize that a filter was set. This would be really helpful, but to me an even better solution would be to make it work like Excel and just perform filtering choices from column headings when the "Filter" feature is turned on.
