We need the ability to show dependencies across records within a custom road map. Right now, we are able to add the record links field to the custom road map, but we would like to show the relationship using a line connector (similar to the release road map).
We recently released a new way to view dependencies on custom roadmaps.
This says "Shipped" but the described feature does not actually solve the need described by the idea: "we would like to show the relationship using a line connector".
This is a usful feature, but it does not fulfill the need to have reports using Release-to-Release links.
The current implement only allows to browse through the links, not to build reports using links.
This is an absolute must, for one who wants to use some types of links (notably "contains", "impacts") to depict product structure (e.g. this Assembled product contains those Components which are based on that Framework).
This is especially necessary when your product structure includes legacy components (not only next stuff) that you maintain over years.
The current "Dependency report" does the job of browsing releases, but is poor in terms of displaying information. The current "Custom roadmap" does the job of displaying data, and makes good use of relationship between releases and features, worskpaces, iniatiatives and so on. It is such a pity that the release-to-release links cannot be browsed as well.
This would be valuable for impact analysis and global planning.
Yes! The Record-Link feature could be incredibly helpful but it's utilized on so few reports. Any object that supports Record Links should also support visualizing those links on their corresponding reports.
This would be very helpful
It would be extremely helpful in designing a roadmap to show the relationships in the Custom roadmap view.
I would love to see this, and expanded to have a full set of connectors that are generated by linked records, with an entire canvas of the connections across a Product, or ideally, all of Aha. You already have a mini version of this with each feature's "visualize" area.
Thanks!
The ability of having the dependencies or relationships on a roadmap will allow us to plan more effectively.
With us moving to our new framework, the ability to track the relationships will help us manage our Master Features throughout our planned events.
