Turn off all notifications for my browser (no more orange dot), as an option for the user Merged

As a PdM currently, I don't like the orange dot in my browser tab. In time, our processes might change and I would find this valuable. I appreciated learning about it through it being turned on by default when it was launched; however, after further analysis, I don't see the need for it in my day to day world. 

I've tried to turn this off in Settings/Personal/Notification/Stop_Receiving_Integration_Notifications but it still shows up. What value does that provide me as a user who doesn't want it in my view at all?
