It would be helpful to be able to add the same comment to multiple ideas at once. I use this to record when I have sent a group of ideas to a group or have done the same update to multiple ideas.
Thank you for your idea. It is currently possible to add a comment to ideas in bulk using the import from CSV. This article describes the process in more detail. One thing to note is that these will be added as private comments on the ideas. If you need this information to be shown in the ideas portal, we would suggest using a custom field which could be edited using bulk edit and displayed in the portal.
This would be very tedious if I want to bulk edit existing idea. I cannot push CSV files every time for updating 10 or 20 tickets. Adding a clear option is required.
I agree this is a needed feature from a contributor level - not something just an Admin would need to do.
I agree with previous comments - CSV is more an admin type function, I see this request as a typical operator ask. Consider a situation where you're wanting to bulk shut down a batch of ideas with a standard justification, it would be nice to do that from bulk edit that allows you to change state.
Absence of this caused us to develop our own solution.
It seems like this is only possible for private comments. What about public comments? -> and why do we need to follow a completely different process if there is a 'bulk update' process already?
If I'm already updating other fields using "Bulk Edit", why should I have to use a cumbersome CSV import workaround in order to add a comment to the issues I'm already updating? This is an extremely inefficient use of time. Frankly, it's easier to just go into each issue and add the comment. Please reconsider adding Comments to the Bulk Edit feature.
Hello, we would like this function added without having to do the CSV work around. Can we continue to vote on this idea or do we need to open a new Idea request?
