When an Aha! user comments on an idea, they do not automatically become subscribers to the idea. In order to receive these notifications, they must add themselves as a "Watcher" to the idea.
If the user is just an Ideas Portal user, then comment does make them become a subscriber.
These two are at odds with each other and causes confusion because of the lack of consistency in how it's handled.
We have many users that are in Aha, we have many more that are just Ideas Portal users.
Many, primarily use the Portal, but also have Reviewer access in Aha so they can view the wider scope of initiatives etc, thus as we move people from Portal user, to also Aha user, their behaviour changes, and looks like a bug to them.
Please can you fix/modify this behaviour, or at least offer an option so that any commenting user in the portal will become a subscriber? It's far too many steps otherwise to expect them to view the idea in Aha and add themselves as watchers.
Agree, it'd be much appreciated if the behaviours can be aligned
This would be really useful!!
