"Choose an image" box or filename should accommodate text correctly

I can't see entire filenames, and the GUI for the folders list at the top gets messed up when there are many sub-folders.

If you look at the file names not showing  whole filename.png you will see that black box is not adjusting to accommodate the entire filename of "Super.Long.Filename.Of.A.Picture.That.I.am.Using.Do.Describe.The.Issue. - Copy (12)"  The white text is covering portions of the file with the blue highlight. 

In example 2.png you will see that a horizontal scrollbar appears when you hover over a file on the right bounds. The fun part here is that the text doesnt extend out of the box, and if you move the mouse to scroll the horizontal scrollbar it stops the hover and the bar disappears, thus leaving you in a situation where you cannot scroll.

So, I'm just looking for a feature where the entire filename would get displayed correctly.
