Users following features need to be notified when master features change also

We are implementing master features (IE solution spanning user stories) to link capabilities across multiple products. Currently if the owner or follower of the feature doesn't get a notification when I modify the top level master feature so they don't know if I have changed the user story.

Not having this is making master features not very usable.
