I'd like to let my users select which company goal their ideas align to

We are trying to better surface our company goals to our employees and ask them very early in the ideation process if their suggestions are aligned to the goals. I understand I could hack Aha and attempt to manually keep a tag list in sync with the goal set, but I'd really like to be able to just have them choose from the goals themselves.

Thank you for the idea. This is possible today by adding a custom Goals field that populates with a list of your goals in your account or workspace. The status of this idea was out of date. You can learn more here: Custom fields and Custom layouts.
