Turn off hyperlinks in presentations

The current behavior is that hyperlinks do not automatically open in a new browser tab or window. They behave as if they are dead links. The workaround is to right click and open in new tab (in Chrome).
The request is to either be able to turn off the hyperlinks or enable them to open in a new tab or window.

I share my roadmaps with my customers. I would like hypertext links to be disabled.
Or hide the hyperlinks all together if they shouldn't be clicked by notebook viewers.
