I want Aha! to be my single source of truth for information I collect on ideas so I add fields like "business opportunity" and "MVP" and "What if we didn't work on this" as custom fields to my ideas. When I look at the detail view of an idea, however, all of my custom fields are crammed into the small right rail of that view while the main column is mostly blank (because the right rail is so darn long now.) If you added another section to the Idea custom field layout where I could place my new fields into the main column instead of the right rail, I'd be able to share those URLs with watchers/stakeholders and make it more of a destination for conversation and cataloging. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
There have been many updates to the field layouts over the past few years, including the ability to add custom tabs. Please take a look at what is possible now in the layout editor and submit a new idea for anything else that you need. Thanks!
100%. The custom fields you create should be able to be viewed in the main window.
The custom fields you create should also be able to be viewed by the people voting on the idea!
This existing setup forces us to have too many fields on the right side of the screen. It would be very valuable to be able to move some of them to the left side.
A sample of what my details view looks like.
