I've setup my ideas email (ideas@cielocinema.com) so that customers can submit product ideas. Unfortunately, the email confirmations and updates from the idea portal do not have my branding. I would like to be able to customize these notifications so that the user's experience is completely with me, without Aha! getting in between.
Added April 14th by Aha!: Ability to show the "from" field as the company name instead of Aha!
To custom design and brand your portal, go to Settings -> Account -> Configure idea portals. Then edit the portal you wish to customize and click on the Branding tab.
When an idea is created, the email sent out to the creator will have your branding.
We have adjusted this idea to include customizing the message and changing the request for a "from" field to be populated with your company instead of Aha!
Does this also support HTML branding or should I raise another idea for that?
Hi everyone -- sorry about that. This is just about to ship, but hasn't shipped yet. I will change it back to "Planned" so that there's no confusion. Please stay tuned.
I am on the branding page, but do not see where to make these edits.
I cannot find where to edit the "from" e-mail. It is always from "Aha!"
Before we can use this function, we need to have the email text translated to dutch. However, it should save us a lot of time when customers can add their ideas and support / development requests directly via email to Aha!. So please give us the possibility to change complete email text.
Hi Jeff,
Did you add your logo? By default, Aha!'s logo will be there. Can you send a note to support@aha.io and add a screenshot of the branding page and the email you're receiving so that we can troubleshoot for you?
I think your request about Marketo belongs as its own idea so it does not get lost --- I've created it here: https://big.aha.io/ideas/ideas/APP-I-1029.
I just tested this out and still ended up with what appeared to be an Aha! branded email when I received the email notification to my test email account.
There is also still no control over from or reply to email addresses or the ability to more finely control content so that integration with Marketing Automation would be possible.
Brand consistency in everything customer facing is critical for external communications. Using AM tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, etc is how we want to be able to integrate campaign management. Your help is needed to make this happen!!!
When is this idea planned for?
We would like the ability to customize the email headers and content for notification and invitation emails to the Ideas Portals. This would allow us to maintain brand consistency as we reach out to include our customers in the idea generation and management process. We would like to go as far as being able to integrate the emails with our Marketing Automation Tool (Marketo) so that we can get statistics on open rates, bounce rates, etc. for specific types of emails (i.e. invitations).
That'd be great -- Thanks Chris!
I agree, emails from the portal should use your account name. I am going to open a feature for that.
Thanks, Chris, for your speedy and thoughtful reply. I see what you mean now, and also see the notification emails contain my logo too -- a nice touch.
However, the "from" name in that email notification to the requestor is "Aha." I would not want to customize the email address itself -- I see responses to the email nicely appear in the comment area of the associated idea. That's a great "close the loop" feature. But is is possible for the actual "from" name to say my company or product name, instead of Aha? Thanks for considering.
Note that "Big Aha!" is the name of Aha's own account. On emails from your idea portal emails it will have the name of your Aha! account instead.
I agree with this suggestion. I would not be able to use this feature unless this idea is implemented. If my clients got a confirmation email from Aha! instead of my company, they would be unlikely to read it, so it greatly diminishes the feature's usefulness. If they did happen to open the email and saw the line in the email that says: You're receiving this because you submitted an idea to Big Aha! they'd worry they did not submit the idea in the correct place.
