Initiatives custom field should promote with Ideas

We created a custom field to track initiative on an Idea. It would be great if the value in that field would promote to the initiative field on the feature when we promote the idea to a feature so that we can maintain the mapping to strategy.

We have the same need but with goals. Goals is a standard field on features but has to be created on ideas via the custom goal field. One being custom, while the other standard prevents from being able to carry over the field and maintaining the strategic alignment.
Another potential solution could be for you to create goals and initiatives as standard fields on the standard idea layout. Especially now that you can hide standard layout fields.

+1 for goals promoting from Ideas to Features. We have a situation where a top level PM team routes ideas to feature teams after setting which company goals the idea would meet. The feature team PMs then promote the idea to features, and we would like the goals to populate the default goals field of the feature. We are working around right now by having a second goals field in the feature that we promote to.
I would add that the mapping should also align with goals as well.
