Why is it useful, who would benefit from it, how should it work?

    +1 This would be very useful. We have a number of predefined fields and prefer to use those over generic tags which have no context and can easily get out of hand...users can add new tags w/o vetting, spelling mistakes can muddy the option set.  Would expect to edit this in this page (similar to 'tags')

    Incorrect. Custom predefined tags do not show up in configure tags. I confirmed this wasn't an option with support before submitting the idea.
