Auto-notification when idea is submitted to certain idea category Merged

The problem I am trying to solve:  Getting the right owning Product Manager to be assigned and notified whenever an idea comes into their customer facing category.  Note: we are not displaying products or product lines in idea portal because the teams are not always organized in customer facing ways. Ideas are coming into 1 idea portal with customer facing categories.  With our current central triage for ideas "product", I'm not seeing an easy way to do it.

Request: Need a way in Aha to get a notification (as a product manager) when an idea is submitted for a certain category in the 1 idea portal.

Icing on the cake: The ability to also auto-assign a user to any idea that comes into a certain category.

Solution Tried: For just the notification part, I thought I could create a list view of ideas and add people as "watchers" for that list view/query in Aha...so that when a new item appeared, the right owner could get a notification/email....but it doesn't look like I can do that. I searched big.ideas and did not find anything or anything related either.
