Ability to hide/archive releases on Releases | Details view

Shipped releases can be filtered out on the Release Roadmap view, but this filtering does not carry over to the Details tab.  Because we release every two weeks, I already have to scroll way to the right to see my current and scheduled releases and their details.

Thank you for the idea. This is possible today by using the Release settings dropdown on the Releases -> Details page. The status of this idea was out of date.

Chris, I am only seeing this happen on Master Releases. I think (personally) the behavior should be consistent.

Dan, are you seeing this problem only for master releases too? I can see that for master releases we are not using the same logic and it always chooses the first record, rather than the first in-progress master release.

    Hi Chris,

I currently see this behavior on products but when I’m looking at a product line’s master releases this behavior is not working. When I go the Details tab, I get the very first shipped release every time.

    Thanks,
    Kalyndra

Not sure you got my response. If the tool is supposed to automatically advanced to the first open release, ours is not doing that. I checked our setup and we do have the status Done mapped to Shipped. Despite this, when I go to releases, I see the very first one and have to page through 6 or 7 complete ones until I get to the first open one.

When you go to the Release -> Details screen it should always choose the next release that is not yet shipped. Are you seeing it do something else?

One issue might be if you have a custom workflow for releases, but haven't defined the "Status category" values for the workflow correctly. You should use the "Shipped" status category for the status that you want to represent completed releases. I have attached a screenshot of this in the Settings -> Account -> Configure status, workflows and feature types screen.

This is a huge pain point for users!
