When an idea A is merged with idea B, idea A disappears from the list views and reporting. This is generally a good thing because the merged ideas will not get counted, since they are now part of another idea (this is the only one that should be counted).
Here’s the problem, I merge idea A with idea B today, and tomorrow my peer logs in to Aha. He is looking for idea A but it’s no where to be found!
If my peer remembers the idea, he can search for it and find it. But what if he doesn't remember the ID?
We would like to be able to build a report of merged ideas for this situation.
In addition, we want to periodically do an audit of merged ideas, to ensure that those merged were merged correctly into the correct "master" idea.
Just some quick things I noticed that are missing - One should be able to sort by Merged Ideas. I don't want to click through 9 pages.
Awesome! Thanks Ron.
We've shipped an update to our Reports page which allows you to create reports against Merged ideas.
By going to the Reports page, you will see a new available column called, "Merged ideas." This will allow you to create reports which shows you ideas which have been merged into other ideas. We hope that this can help as a workaround for your use case.
Brian - thanks for the idea. We have a soon-to-be implemented feature which should help to provide more reporting capabilities against Merged ideas. It should allow you to better understand and see where ideas have been merged into.
The implementation is slightly different than your request, but should work well as a workaround.
Your exact request is something that we are likely to implement further out in the future, but it requires larger framework changes which we are considering for the future. I'll update this ticket once we have the updated reporting capabilities around Merged ideas.
any update? thanks
