I'd like to find features that are missing a value for certain fields, but I don't see a way to only show Blank values for things like Initiative or Custom fields
Release time frame | 3 months |
You can now use the new “Is blank” reporting filter to find Aha! records with missing information.
THANK YOU!!!
Fantastic release. Seems so simple, but is so very useful.
We need to be able to report on all Release Phases + Features / whether there are Features in them or not.
Use case:
Features come into Aha in a variety of ways. When created in Aha you must select a product initiative. If this step is missed then it is difficult to find features not tied to initiatives. Also we integrate with JIRA. If a feature originated from there and is imported into Aha, then it is missing the initiative. Again, if you miss the step of tying the feature to the initiative, it is hard to find it later. This feature would help make that task easier.
This function is crucial to produce reports and notebooks that make a difference for the users and management!
Another vote for this feature, would be great to have! Nothing more to add to what folks have commented on already.
This change is vital to Aha! Reporting. Sorting to put blank records at the top is not helpful as we would still have to go through the process of exporting to Excel to have a report that only shows blanks. Most applications allow you to run a report and filter on blank fields.
This is extremely important for some of our use cases as well. Please consider implementing it, as simply sorting by the field value isn't adequate.
This is huge for features and ideas. Our current use case is that we have tagged things that are special, but I want to be able to sort/filter on things that haven't been tagged as well. I envision this being an even bigger need as we mature - we are only about 4 weeks into our production use.
Two years lasted since idea has been created. Guys, please, when?
I really need this feature too!
We have various modules each team member is responsible for. If I create a filter for my modules then I won't see any items where the module field was left blank. The only way to see the empty values is to remove all my modules from the list, in which case I not only the empty values, but also everyone else's modules too.
This would be very helpful to validate that our data is entered properly.
Please make this a reality! An example: I want to be able to view which ideas don't have Categories so I can take action on them.
Agreed. We run reports for our customers to show them the live status updates using the notebook features. Additionally, we use the lists to track our own work. We have two fields that identify features that are in more than one impact area of the system. Using Tags as multiples causes the items to be double or triple counted. We decided to separate out the fields but ran into this issue, where when we need to pull in all items in one impact area that may also have additional impacts we lose the 'blanks' so we're missing all of our items that only have one impact. It is really messing up our ability to provide a clear picture.
would also be very useful to filter out ideas that are not connected to client requests. The workaround of adding every available item to a filter is problematic because you have to constantly update your filter settings to make sure all new clients are being added to the sort
Lack of this is killing my team and another on their list of reasons we should stop using Aha.
Looking for a status update on this one as well. We really need a way to create reports to display records where a certain field has been left blank.
I agreed this is a needed functionality. The workaround suggested is sorting by the field. That is ok, but it does not really met the need. When working with big list, being able to filter one or multiple fields for Blanks is essential to reducing the working list that you are working on.
This is HUGELY important for PMs replacing Excel with Aha for backlog management!
