The circular diagrams in the strategy section(Vision & Diagram) do not visualize well on today's browsers and monitors. Text is too small, data overflows. A more simple Left to right hierarchy would be more understandable, sharable and viewable.
I have to agree, the circular/radial diagram is next to useless. I would much rather have a story mapping feature, or a right-to-left or vertical tree diagram of goals-epics-features-stories etc.
We recently launched a new Hierarchy report which allows you to view strategic relationships, and also extend them to your releases and features -- within a single product or across your entire hierarchy.
The recent launch is related to table visualization, but we do have plans for additional visualizations in the near term based on this report. We'll update the status of this based on the upcoming plans, but do hope that the new Hierarchy Report can be helpful. We're sorry for the miscommunication in this idea.
I completely agree with the comments given by many experts below. There are two key points: 1. The whole information would have been much more intuitive if presented in a left to right hierarchy or at least a top to bottom hierarchy. Things would have been much more clearer this way.
2. The idea of having Account Profile Name in the center makes things quite tough to present if we have only one product line with multiple products within it. There should have been some filter option to start the inner circle with Product Line or even a Product to better represent things without cluttering the image too much. Right now with a plethora of information, the visualisation diagram is very cluttered and the first impression from senior management is 'This is too complex. '
If you are a company with a single product, I think it would also be great to have the product at the centre of the diagram, or make it the starting point for a linear diagram per the above horizontal and vertical suggestions.
While I like and use a lot of the visualizations in Aha!'s Strategy sections, I would recommend Aha! always consider always offering the option to upload an image from PowerPoint. Sometimes, we need to communicate something that just doesn't fit in the framework. Or, execs and stakeholders just need to see something that certain way.
@Steve - Not to hijack or piggy back on your idea, but this seems like it fits with all of these suggestions and tweaks on how to visualize stuff in Notebooks and the Strategy section.
We are reopening this request. I think it was marked as shipped based on a mistaken understanding of the request. We are working on better ways to visualize the complete strategy hierarchy.
The admin update showing that this is shipped seems wrong to me. This Idea is addressing two issues - one the circle on the Vision tab (which has a vertical layout now). But second, this idea mentions the Strategy Diagram - which has the biggest problem with readability. That tab has not been enhanced. I agree with the previous comment that straightening the lines of the circle out would help visualize.
I don't really see any options to change the layout. I think the important option that is needed is to have a vertical orientation rather than the circle. The only way the circle is useful is if you print it and the reader can easily turn the paper. It is illegible when displayed on screen during a presentation. Honestly I don't even both telling my clients it's there, even though it's the one place where you can theoretically see the connections between goals, initiative, products and releases.
Just straighten out the circle and it would be much more usable IMO.
The strategy diagram should have an option to view as a pyramid instead of a circle.

I think that the strategy diagram is confusing to look at in its circular form. The data that is structured within it is naturally in a pyramid shape. It would be great if there was a way to toggle the same data to view in a pyramid visual style i...
