As a product manager who gets hundreds of ideas flowing through my portal, i would like to have a mechanism to automatically promote an idea to a feature for a specific workspace based on a tag / custom field. I do not want to manage my features and my ideas separately and would like them in one place so i don't need to flip between the parking lot and ideas.
Example: when an idea hits 50 votes and has the tag of Fredwin then promote idea to feature and place in the Fredwin parking lot.
Example2: when an idea is created and has the category of Fredwin, then promote the idea and place it in the Fredwin parking lot.
Thank you for your idea. We would recommend using automation to help streamline and scale the review process -- which can be done currently.
For example, you could setup an automation rule that assigns a to-do to a product manager to review an idea once it has reached 50 votes.
Given the option above and other priorities, we are unlikely to implement an option to use automation rules to promote ideas. We hope you can understand.
I'm a strong vote for this feature as well. Some of our requests are time sensitive and "straight-through" processing when certain very basic criteria (such as category selection) is present, we know it needs to be actioned so the human wait time to jump on the request and promote it needs to be eliminated.
Count me as a +1 vote!
Our company is in the same predicament. We have very large volume of tickets and would like to automatically progress an Idea to a Feature if/when it either reached X number of votes OR when certain number of Product Managers signed off/agree to progress it (as it meets our criteria for promotion).
Not having this type of functionality bottlenecks the system and ALWAYS required manual intervention.
