As part of a good product management team, we want to regularly collaborate with people who are submitting ideas to our team. We want to be able to send them an email during these events
1) Idea is submitted - to inform that their idea has been received and is being reviewed.
2) Inform them of status change of their idea i.e. its rejected , approved or postponed
3) Send them an email when we add a comment indicating that additional information is needed from them for a submitted idea.

Aha! will automatically send emails to the idea creator in all of the cases that you listed. You can learn more about notifications in this article. You can customize the color and content in those emails as well.

Yes this doesn't help send the notification out to the "requestor" which is a custom field we have added in Ideas. The automation feature in Aha only allows emails to be sent to people added to Aha as a user. Also, I added if emails were sent out to "idea creator" when something was marked as "under consideration" or "Will not implement", the idea creator did not receive the email.
