It would be really useful to consolidate the vote counts of all merged ideas into the parent ticket. This would allow an at-a-glance view of how many people really want this feature instead of having to build a report to continue to count the number of votes in total.
Thanks for the idea!
If you merge ideas together, the parent idea will display the total vote count of the combined ideas. Note that if the same user voted separately on the merged ideas, only one of their votes will count. This ensures a more effective total vote count by user.

Nathaniel - happy to show an example, but it may be a user understanding error. If I am looking at the voters on an issue, does it automatically update that list to include anyone who voted for the merged list? There are some that are not duplicates (perhaps the user removed their vote on the previous issue?), but some that are - I can't get a feel for whether the other voters have been counted in. I'll open a support thread.
Thanks for sharing this idea! Merged vote counts should be consolidating on the main idea or promoted feature. Can you share an example? It may be that you're running into an issue.
