S-curve view of nested sales volume for time in market for products

This would be a way to crunch sales numbers to provide insight into development cycles and release/delivery timing. It assumes a company has numbers for its sales to give a clue how marketing worked (or didn't).

It fundamentally is nested sine waves on a calendar, charting sales figures historically to develop heuristics for a market segment, because everything is in motion and history can't tell what will be.

Conceivably this could be a tool for reviewing company history and planning for servicing early adopters, including iterative improvements for software. It could also be a means to visualize inventory planning and when to change from or to open source, and release of an API or an SDK.

I might also be a means to visualize market share and strategize update releases.
