If you are looking at a Rank field, one would assume it's based on the only mathematical formula on the record. Our teams don't use the chart - we use a score - so the current Rank field is essentially useless now - when we hoped it would be linked to the score.
Yes, it's easy to sort the score field in a report but the scores ultimately mean nothing in relation to each other - people aren't going to say "what came in at 42?" they are going to ask, "what's #1 on the list?" I've had to create a manual field in which we do this ranking and, quite honestly, it's pissing off our leadership team because anytime something shifts, we need to manually update that field on 40 records.
Hi there, I would like to make sure I understand the issue is you are running into with the current initiative rank. Currently the rank comes from the order of initiatives on the Strategy > Initiatives pages. I can see value in having the ability to re-rank these by score, but I am curious if your teams have tried adjusting the rank in the initiative details view when things change rather than using the custom field. Is there a reason this is not possible in your workflow? Thanks!
I am currenty in the same boat where our directors mood spikes everytime he see's that rank- at this point i would just be happy to delete it. It adds zero vaule and its now actually creating more work
