Not all Idea submissions warrant the full planning levels and promotion to Initiative, Master Feature, or Feature.
Some ideas are very minor enhancements (such as a label change) to existing functionality that would be pushed to an Azure backlog bundled as Continuous Improvements where they are worked Kanban style.
So in other words it is wasteful to go through the steps of the full Aha planning process when unnecessary in order to send an Idea over to Azure via integration.
Other Idea submissions are sometimes actually defects and the ability to push to Azure and convert to a defect prevents hassling the customer to re-enter via our Support Tool or spares my team the waste of re-entering on their behalf.
Thank you for the idea!
As you mentioned, you can currently promote an idea to a feature and send it to your respective integration. We recommend setting up a feature type of bug so you can better manage these types of issues. If you would like to avoid the regular planning process, perhaps you can create a release just for bugs that falls outside of your planning process. There are other possible solutions as well. To learn more, please feel free to reach out to our customer success team at support@aha.io. They would be happy to help further and find the right solution that works for you and your team.
For this reason, we are unlikely to make changes to this area at this time. However, we continuously monitor ideas and will watch for community feedback and alignment with our current priorities. We hope you can understand.
